9/30–11/11 The San Ramon Library gets groovy with a series of concerts featuring local jazz musicians and vocalists, plus a kid-friendly Adventures in Jazz program on October 8. .

Happenings at Hearst
Visitors to the Comprehensive Keith exhibit opening October 2 at Hearst Art Gallery are in for an extra treat: The space at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga just completed a total makeover, expanding by 50 percent and adding two new galleries. It’s the perfect opportunity to display—and view—145 William Keith paintings from the college’s collection. The Scottish-American artist, who lived in Berkeley and traveled with John Muir, is known for his California landscapes and environmental activism.
